Inspired by Reading: Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer

The bracelet I made was inspired by the overflowing ice and rock river that kept McCandless from walking out of the wild...

The river had turned to a roiling flowing mess and was uncrossable because of the high mountain runoff coming off of the mountains...

Blue Opal and Blue Labridorite as well as Czech glass roll and tumble around my cuff style bracelet.

  1. Nice wire work, Alison! I like the mix of materials you chose, and I get the chaotic rush of river from it.

  2. I really like your inspiration for this pretty bracelet and the idea that something dangerous can also be beautiful.

  3. Love this piece! The stones do remind me of both river rocks and ice! Nice job!

  4. What a lovely piece! I love the texture and the tumbling movement of the beads! Great job! I think you captured the feel of the river perfectly! Thanks so much for participating!

  5. Your bracelet is beautiful. I like that you chose the wild river and contained it in your bracelet. Very fitting!!
